Inspired by nature

I find my inspiration from my garden, the seasons and walks with my dog.

Handbuilt ceramics made in my sunny home studio.

I started making pottery around 8 years of age. I used to go to classes at my local community centre in Frenches Forest, Sydney. I also used to do pottery in Turramurra, with a wonderful family friend called Gran, we bonded over clay and pots. She had a magical laugh and we used to make our own clay and work for hours together on a Saturday. At one point in my life all of our family friends had pieces of my pottery in their homes - animals, roast chicken dinners, bush shacks, pinch pots, avocado shaped serving dishes and lots of other random items.

After I had my two boys I went to pottery classes in the Bega Valley in New South Wales and at Camberwell Community Centre in Melbourne. We have moved around a lot but I have always managed to find my way back to clay.

I now have the time to explore my ideas and passion. I work in my sunny studio at the front of our house. My dog, Coco and I can work and watch the world the go by, it is pure joy.

Featured Product

Handmade house imprinted with fig leaves and fruit. Made with midfire (fired to 1200 C) speckled grey clay.

The house is glazed where the leaves and figs are placed. Roughly 8.5cm square and 11.5 cm high. There is a hole underneath where a tea light can be placed.
